How Kieran Drew Managed to Build a Business for Digital Freedom!!!

Btw I'm back

Hey friend - Raj this side,

I hope you didn’t forget me, after I discontinued sending my weekly newsletters to you, for about a month.

I know, as a creator, being inconsistent with my content and work is kind of a SIN, but I was going through a lot last month.

Hope you’re doing well and I’m grateful to have you as my newsletter subscriber (thanks for sticking with me)…

as some of them unsubscribed, due to inconsistent behavior and a decrease in trust.

I promise this won’t happen ever again till this newsletter is in existence, as also I have come up with an automated scheduling plan to deliver all my newsletters to you, every Sunday, at 2 PM EST.

(yeah, it’s changed from Friday to Sunday)

The reason is - I analyze my week on Sunday now, and would love to write & share my analysis, experience, and insights immediately with you.

(This can be a little lengthy, but you won’t regret going down with my words…)

Back to the Twitter Growth Series

Let’s start where I left off with - The Series of 3 Newsletters on Fast Growing Accounts on Twitter. (Part #2)

From my last Newsletter

So, today I am going to discuss a Twitter Account which is not a new player, and rather an experienced creator on Twitter - Kieran Drew!

Before starting, I would like to recommend you his newsletter - Digital Freedom if you also like to learn some hands-on skills on how a big creator works out his business, writing, and lifestyle in a good way and how you can do the same BEING YOU!

Let’s go!

So this is a guy who started and has been working here on Twitter since August 2020.

Long time? Yes!

You can see that from the number of followers and fans he has (including me).

He had some of his own reasons for switching from Dentistry to a Writer, online.

Milestones achieved

To give you a glimpse…

Fast forward to today:

  1. He has more than 20k+ subscribers on his newsletter and 165k+ followers on Twitter.

  2. An online teaching business called Viral Inspiration Lab sells tweet databases as a product with some courses to write Twitter threads, writing skills, becoming an expert in a niche, etc. where he has managed to bring around 400 people to learn from him.

  3. Has launched a community - “Freedom Writers” with a good amount of folks (more than 100) and later left it because of very less freedom. (I’ll explain)

  4. Tried a lot of writing models for earning a living online, and manage to earn around $4k per month in net profits, on average now.

Here’s a net profit and revenue screenshot from his Newsletter:

Kieran’s #1 USP and Driving Factor

For Kieran, both of these are the same.

The only thing that you will see, on his Twitter profile cover - DIGITAL FREEDOM!

We can say that…

This is his fundamental value and maybe also his source of energy or driving factor in reaching this stage.

It’s not the biggest achievement, but we can surely appreciate him as a content creator working solo online, making a living without having a BOSS to worry about.

Isn’t it COOL?

100%!!!

This is the main factor on which he judges what things he should keep doing and what to avoid.

We can’t say that this stops him from experimenting with creator stuff. He has tried a lot of jobs and monetization models to see through the level of freedom he can have with each of them.

(I have made a list to show you his trials below)

Anything he writes learns or speaks about, he is quite focused on Digital freedom for it.

This is due to his goal of attaining freedom from working 9-5 or working for someone else rather than doing the same for himself…

and that too in the DIGITAL way so that he can work sitting at whatever place on this globe with an internet connection.

Monetization ways tried and tested with writing

You will be impressed after reading how many businesses or jobs he has tried writing online.

In fact, I was also impressed by it.

He has earned from most of them. But still works with few as it’s hard to manage all of it.

I’ll also share the score he gives for each one of those experiences, on the basis of the freedom the job gives. Let’s go:

  1. Affiliating (4/5)

  2. Community (2/5) {This was the reason he left, as his primary purpose is Freedom}

  3. Coaching & Consulting (3/5)

  4. Ghostwriting (2.5/5)

  5. Group Coaching (3.5/5)

  6. Digital Products (4.5/5)

You can see from his ratings, the kind of job/work he likes to do more.

He has 4 FREE Notion products to share and charges only for - Viral Inspiration Lab.

Taken from LinkedIn Profile

(will tell you more about his creator business, if you wanna learn, in upcoming newsletters - reply to vote)

The thing he earns around 50% of his revenue from the Lab Product, which takes the least of his time, and gives him the highest returns.

The Secret to His Growth on Twitter as a Content Creator

He also started as everyone and soon grabbed the understanding of providing real value to his audience that they can’t believe can be given for free.

Believe me when I say this…

I have tried and tested his FREEBIE courses. They are dope!

And this is the real trick or we can say the best way to attract & serve our audience.

To give freebies so good, that the audience dreams about how good the paid ones will be.

And he monetizes only the IMPLEMENTATION of his content (viral labs).

He does it in a professional way which I love about his work.

Every time you get his freebies, you are on his email list. The best-owned audience + a list of raving fans that are pretty much interested to buy his courses or products.

Conclusion

This is what I’m also coming up with my personal brand after confusing my audience with writing, in so broad niche.

Gonna be more focused on serving my 3 different niches only and trying to come up with a product that converts people and also serves them so well that they can’t deny it.

As Alex Hormozi says it all, “Make Offers So Good People Feel Stupid Saying No”!!!

So, that’s it for this newsletter. Hope you found this one valuable and learned something useful from it.

See you next Sunday!
